STRUXC-MC reconstructed the exterior balconies of Lincoln Station, a four (4) story 24-unit mixed-used condominium building. The work entailed the demolition of the distressed masonry reinforced piers which supported the steel balconies, along with other steel framing and the installation of new structural steel columns and beams. Swapping masonry piers to steel columns took some coordination, but the real challenge was supporting the existing balconies while the transformation took place.

In addition to replacing the structural piers, the building walls were patched, and the lower level reconstructed with new brick masonry to match the original and provide a seamless transition between new and old construction.

Finally, after the reconstruction was completed, we focused on building maintenance, which included cleaning, tuckpointing the existing building walls, and sealing all cracks and expansion joints, ensuring long-term durability for its residents.
